The Village of Providence is located on the western edge of Huntsville, just before entering the city of Madison. The Village is off of Highway 72, just between Madison City Limits and Cummings Research Park. Not only does Providence offer beautiful homes in a covenant-protected community, but it also offers an entire planned community that includes restaurants, retail shops, doctor and dentist offices, hotels, apartments and even a school. If you’ve ever been to a centrally-planned community such as Seaside, FL or Celebration, FL, you’ll have an idea of how organically beautiful a community can be. But in this case, we’re dealing with the charm of southern living instead of vacation getaways.
- Shops line Providence Main Street.
- A popular place to meet and dine.
- Providence School for K-8
- Meet me at the fountain.
- Providence residents enjoy walk-up access to Providence Elementary School (K-8).
Providence has so much in walking distance you may never feel the need to stray far from home. The restaurants include some of the go-to destinations in Huntsville, such as Mellow Mushroom Pizza, Phuket Thai and of course, Grille 29. Amenities include walking paths, a clubhouse and pool, and of course some of the most beautiful architecture in the area.
Update
We finally made it back over to Providence during daylight hours with a camera. Even though this is a relatively new community, the tree growth is making it hard to capture the beauty of all the different architectural styles here. But, as promised, here are some examples of the homes in this beautiful neighborhood.
